Barbara Campero
Barbara Campero began working for the College of Pharmacy on April 21st, 1986. She began as a Photo Copy Operator duplicating the microfiche for the Division of Drug Information Service Division, located on the Oakdale campus. She currently is a Clerk III for the same Division and her duties include; supervising the Database Production students, duplicating the microfiche, overseeing the microfiche scanning, shipping the monthly updates, and managing the daily mail process in the office.
Barbara's "most memorable" time here at the College was when she first began to work with the students. She and her husband Mike will celebrate their 24th anniversary this July. Mike is also a University of Iowa employee and has worked at the hospital for a number of years. Mrs. Campero would love to retire in Hawaii.
In her leisure time Barbara and Mike enjoy walking, working in the yard, reading, and watching movies together. She also enjoys Sudoku puzzles. Her "perfect" meal would be grilled chicken prepared by her husband and her "perfect" vacation would be a trip to Lake Okoboji that would include swimming, walking, rowing, sight-seeing and shopping.
Barbara is grateful to Donna Brus who hired her 20 years ago, and states that "DDIS is truly a wonderful place to work." |
