Kevin Moores, Pharm.D, joined the College of Pharmacy as the Director of the Division of Drug Information Service and an Associate Professor (Clinical) in the Clinical and Administrative Division. Dr. Moores’ appointment began on August 1. He is returning to the Division from Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Allied Health Professions where he was an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice and the Director of Drug Informatics Services. Dr. Moores previously worked in the Division of Drug Information Service from 1996 to 2001 as an Assistant Professor (Clinical) and the Director of Iowa Drug Information Network (IDIN). The Division is pleased to welcome Dr. Moores back. Dr. Moores replaces Professor Hazel Seaba who has been appointed the Assistant Dean for Curriculum and Assessment in the College of Pharmacy.


CoraLynn Trewet, MS, Pharm.D, attended Drake University and graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in May 2003.  After graduating from Drake, Dr. Trewet completed a two year Practice Management Residency and obtained her Masters in Pharmacy Administration from the University of Kansas.  Dr. Trewet currently holds an elected office with the American Pharmacists Association, sits on the Council for Professional Affairs with the American Society of Health System Pharmacists and is an active member and frequent presenter for other state and national associations.  In additional to her role as an Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy, she serves as a faculty member with the Broadlawns Family Practice Residency in Des Moines, IA.  She serves as a preceptor for pharmacy students during their Family Medicine Clerkships and provides instruction in various courses.  Her interest areas include preventative health, lipid management, congestive heart failure, diabetes and health outcomes.   Dr. Trewet is very excited to be moving back to Iowa and joining the faculty at The University of Iowa.

Jennifer Bertrand is the new Program Assistant in the Office of Academic Affairs. She is responsible for pre-Pharmacy advising, recruiting and new student orientation, coordinates all Pharmacy student organizations, and is the advisor for Student Council, PSAN, and the Pre-Pharmacy Club. Jennifer has a Ph.D. in Animal Science from Oregon State University and was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Pharmacology, University of Iowa College of Medicine. Jennifer has taught biology classes as an adjunct faculty member at Kirkwood and Muscatine Community Colleges, and was an academic advisor at Muscatine Community College before coming to the College of Pharmacy. She is married and has a 3 year old son.
