Home
is where the hawk is
“Home
Is Where The Hawk Is” was the theme for Homecoming
2006 and pharmacy alumni came out in droves to show
that it’s true! More than 200 pharmacy alumni
and guests returned to campus to enjoy the warm weather
and a great weekend with friends.
The weekend got off to a great start with a big turnout
for the cardiovascular continuing education session
on Friday. Alumni gathered at the Airliner on Friday
night to reconnect and watch the Homecoming Parade go
by. They gave an especially warm reception to the College
of Pharmacy student float. Members of the Class
of 1986 were wondering what happened to their classmates
and challenge them to meet in 2011! The Classes of ’66,
’71 and ’76 all had wonderful turnouts for
their class dinners.
The
beautiful 70-degree weather on Saturday encouraged 100 alumni,
friends and family to attend the tailgate before heading
into Kinnick to watch the Hawks beat Purdue.
Mark your calendars for Homecoming 2007 on Sept. 28
and 29! Along with the class reunions, all Legacy students
and alumni will be invited back for a special event
that’s not to be missed.
Thanks to everyone who helped make Homecoming ’06
a great success— see you next year! For
