Professional Experience
Upon graduation, Dr. Matheson served two years in the U.S. Army where he taught pharmacology to pharmacy technicians at the Medical Field Service School. Dr. Matheson then taught at the College of Pharmacy at North Dakota State University from 1972 until 1975 at which time he joined the faculty of the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy.

Research Interests
Dr. Matheson's research interests include the application of QSAR methods to the prediction of diffusion rates through polymeric and biological membranes and the development of model membrane systems for correlation with biological absorption data.
