Pre-Doctoral Training in the Pharmacological Sciences

The graduate training program in the pharmacological sciences at the University of Iowa emphasizes the education of predoctoral students with research interest in the dynamics, structure and function of drug molecules. It is a functional interdisciplinary training program in this area, with participation of students and mentors from the departments of Anatomy & Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Medicinal and Natural Products Chemistry, Pharmacology, Molecular Physiology & Biophysics, and the interdisciplinary graduate programs of Genetics, Immunology, Molecular & Cellular Biology, and Neuroscience, as well as the Biosciences and Medical Scientist Training programs.
