The College of Pharmacy offers four areas of graduate study & Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences, Medicinal and Natural Products Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Socioeconomics, and Pharmaceutics. The major emphasis of these programs is on research and coursework leading to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree. Our graduates in these areas are exceptionally well prepared for research careers in academia, pharmaceutical and related industries, and government.

The Division of Clinical and Administrative Pharmacy offers graduate education in two areas. Graduate study in Clinical Pharmaceutical Sciences is directed toward those students who desire formal advanced training in clinical pharmacy and research related to applied pharmacotherapy. Graduate education in Pharmaceutical Socioeconomics is focused on instruction and research in the application of the economic, social, and administrative sciences to pharmacy. Click here for more information.

The Division of Medicinal and Natural Products Chemistry
offers graduate study centered on fundamental drug-related research in the basic chemical and biological sciences. This is based upon interdisciplinary coursework and contemporary research spanning many aspects of chemistry, biochemistry and pharmacology with a common theme of drug discovery. Click here for more information.

The Division of Pharmaceutics provides a program of graduate education focused on research and coursework relating to the development, production and characterization of dosage forms, as well as the disposition and action of drugs in the body. Major areas of emphasis include physical and applied pharmaceutics, drug disposition and dynamics, and drug delivery and tissue engineering. Click here for more information.
