COULEE REGIONAL PHARMACY ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP
This award is open to anyone attending an accredited school of pharmacy during the 2010-2011 academic year, but preference will be given to local residents or students who are related to one of our members. The Coulee Region Pharmacy Association is a local independent group from the La Crosse, WI area that is made up of pharmacists and technicians and serves as a forum to address local health care issues and support the community. Our members practice in a variety of settings from chain and independent pharmacies to hospital and managed care. This is our first year of offering a scholarship to a pharmacy student, and we are hoping to make this an annual occurance. As for further details regarding the scholarship, it will be a minimum of $250 dollars, and we are looking to give 2-3 scholarships out a year. The deadline for applications will be March 31st, and recipients of the scholarship will be notified in late April. The application can be accessed here.
BENSON SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS INVITED
The Women's Resource and Action Center (WRAC) at The University of Iowa invites applications for the Margaret P. Benson Memorial Scholarship program for the upcoming (2010-2011) academic year. Application deadline is February 12, 2010.
Created by a designated bequest to the University of Iowa Foundation, the Margaret P. Benson Memorial Scholarship recognizes qualified female applicants who demonstrate financial need and are committed to women's issues, diversity, and social activism. One or two awards are available each year. Awards generally range from $1000 to $2000 per academic year to be applied toward tuition, fees, living expenses, or books. The scholarship is presented at the UI's annual Celebration of Excellence and Achievement Among Women.
The Margaret P. Benson Memorial Scholarship is administered and selected by individuals affiliated with the Women's Resource and Action Center at the University of Iowa. The Center is a diverse community dedicated to fostering women's individual empowerment and systematic solutions to all forms of oppression.

DES MOINES WOMEN'S CLUB MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The Memorial Scholarship Committee of the Des Moines Women's Club is pleased to announce the Memorial Scholarships to be awarded to selected applicants in the Spring of 2010. Information regarding the $1000 scholarships from the Dell and Schwartz funds may be obtained from the internet at www.desmoineswomensclub.org by clicking on scholarships and downloading the forms or by contacting Julie Betts, Administrative Assistant, at 1501 Woodland Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50309.
An applicant may only apply for one scholarship and must be a woman currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or technical school. Applicant must be a legel resident of or attending college in Polk County or one of the bordering counties. The scholarship award is to be used for tuition and mandatory fees for a full-time academic program for the 2010-2011 academic year. Scholarships are awarded for past achievements and future goals rather than on the basis of financial need. The applications can be found HERE.
