NACDS FOUNDATION PHARMACY STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE
The goal of the NACDS Foundation Pharmacy Student Scholarship Program is to support the development of future leaders in community pharmacy and to recognize pharmacy students who have a strong interest in pursuing a career in community pharmacy. A minimum of forty-five $2,000 scholarships will be awarded in 2008 and select recipients of named scholarships will receive $2,500. In 2007, the Foundation awarded $122,000 in pharmacy student scholarships to 60 students.

Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
The student applicant must be enrolled as a full-time pharmacy student in an accredited U.S. college or school of pharmacy studying to obtain a doctor of pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
Student applicants must have completed at least one professional year of pharmacy school to apply. First year pharmacy students are not eligible to apply.
The student applicant must have experience in chain community pharmacy, as well as the desire to pursue a career in chain community pharmacy. Experience may be current or recent employment in a chain community pharmacy.
The student applicant must have a minimum "C" grade point average.
Previous NACDS Foundation Pharmacy Student Scholarship recipients are not eligible to apply; however, previous applicants are welcome to reapply.
Family members of the NACDS Foundation Board of Directors or Officers are not eligible to apply.
