Pharmacy Student Ambassador Network
Members of the Pharmacy Student Ambassador Network (PSAN) serve as representatives of the College of Pharmacy to prospective students and the other health science colleges within the university. The group is made up of 26 volunteers from all cohorts and offers many opportunities for participation.
One of PSAN’s major responsibilities is to provide tours of the college to interested high schools and transfer students. This provides applicants with an opportunity to interact with current pharmacy students and to gain insight into a typical student’s life. Prospective students also receive more information about the curriculum, facilities, and the university campus. PSAN was highly involved with the new student interview process this spring, giving tours to pharmacy applicants and serving as interviewers.
The director of PSAN also serves as ambassador to the Health Sciences Ambassador Network (HSAN). This group consists of representatives from each of the health science disciplines including medicine, dentistry, physical therapy, public health, physician’s assistants, and nursing. This collaboration promotes interdisciplinary social events and opportunities to interact with future colleagues. This group also helps to coordinate programs for Human Rights Week and other special events within each sphere of the health sciences across campus.
