Courtney V. Fletcher is presently Professor, Departments of Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Division of Infectious Diseases, Department of Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He is the Director of the Antiviral Pharmacology Laboratory at University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Fletcher received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy (with honors) from the University of Wyoming, and his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Fletcher has previously held faculty positions at the University of Minnesota and Drake University. He has devoted his research and practice interests towards the clinical pharmacology of antiviral agents. Dr. Fletcher has authored or co-authored more than 110 manuscripts in peer-reviewed scientific journals and more than 140 research papers for presentation at national and international scientific meetings.

Currently, Dr. Fletcher is Principal Investigator of an NIH-RO1 grant (AI33835, funded since 1993) from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases for the study of concentration-controlled antiretroviral therapy. He is also the Principal Investigator of two NIH grants for adult (funded since 1996) and pediatric (funded since 1993) AIDS pharmacology laboratories. He has directed the training of eight post-doctoral (Pharm.D.) fellows in antiviral clinical pharmacology, two Ph.D. students and six M.S. students.

He has more than 14 1/2 years of academic administrative experience including five years as Chair, Department of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center; three years as Director of Graduate Studies in Social, Administrative and Clinical Pharmacy at the University of Minnesota; three years as Assistant Head, Department of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Minnesota; and four years as Assistant Director of Pharmaceutical Services at the University of Minnesota Hospital and Clinic. He is a past member of the FDA Antiviral Drug Advisory Committee and is presently a member of the NIH AIDS Discovery and Development of Therapeutics Study Section and the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Panel on Clinical Practices for the Treatment of HIV Infection.
