Dr. CoraLynn Trewet, Pharm. D., M.S.

CoraLynn (Becker) Trewet attended Drake University and graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree in May 2003.  After graduating from Drake, Dr. Trewet completed a Practice Management Residency and obtained her Masters in Pharmacy Administration from the University of Kansas.  Dr. Trewet is active in several state and national associations including being elected as a national officer for the American Pharmacists Association.  She has been a presenter at various regional and national meetings throughout her years as a student and as a young pharmacist.  Currently, she is in her second year as an Assistant Professor (Clinical) of Family Medicine for The University of Iowa.  She also serves as the clinical pharmacist at the Broadlawns Family Practice Residency Program.  Her interest areas include family medicine, cardiology, ambulatory care, clinical management, academia and outcomes research.

Kristen K. Dearden

Kristen Dearden joined the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy in the Division of Continuing Education as Assistant Director of Educational Affairs for The Collaborative Education Institute (CE Institute). Kristen's duties will provide leadership in the planning and coordination of continuing education programs, including developing budgets, writing grants, marketing, and overall operations of the division.

Kristen was previously on staff at the Iowa Pharmacy Association as the Manager of Public and Professional Affairs for 15 years. While at IPA, she worked on continuing education programs as well as administration and coordination of projects such as The Iowa Center for Pharmaceutical Care, Technician Certification in the State of Iowa , and most recently IPA's 125th Anniversary Celebration. She has also been instrumental in the layout and design of The Journal of the Iowa Pharmacy Association and other publications of IPA. Kristen is excited to join the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy and is look forward to advancing The Collaborative Education Institute in providing quality continuing education programming. Kristen is based out of Des Moines.
